Joah has been developing open-source STEM programs since 2018.
It all began with exploring the hobby of toy making. I dabbled in traditional toy making (spinning tops, toy cars, and tactile games). This led to being asked to run my youngest sibling’s Cub Scout den where they needed someone to design STEM activities focused on play. Here I learned how to code and implement Arduino robotics. After the success of my Den Leadership role, I was promoted at my public library job to solely focus on offering STEM an Makerspace youth outreach and programming.

My background is in Recreation Leadership where the focus is creating an environment of engagement through encouraging play and friendly competition. Each activity you will find on this page is made to be adapted to a public library, public/home school, or youth outreach setting.
